The introvert in an extrovert's world

Knowing yourself, understanding who you are, accepting your strengths and areas of weakness, this is a great place to start from when you are wanting to see growth.

A helpful way to gain more of an understanding of your personality type is to take the Myers Briggs personality test.

I have taken different versions of the test over time and I always end up with the same results, I am an INFP, a healer. When I read about this personality type I feel known, understood. I also can see why I struggle in certain areas.

The areas I will find difficult with starting this business are getting out there networking, being exuberant and outgoing, opening sales conversations, public speeches, engaging in small talk, this will be my challenge. After thinking about it a while, I have come to the conclusion that I like living in my own truth. I like who I am and I don't want to try and fake it 'til I make it. That implies that there is only one right way of doing things, that to be successful you have to be extrovert, dominant and assertive.

I'm not going to be a pseudo extrovert, I am going to be myself and act with integrity.

I will have to step out of my comfort zone, as we all have to if we want to see growth. I will initiate conversations, perhaps speak in public, I will network, maybe even make a vlog, but I will do this authentically, one task at a time, one foot in front of the other.
